COUNCIL SEEKS CANDIDATES TO FILL VACANCY

Candidate to be selected March 21st

KINGMAN, Arizona – February 22, 2017 – The resignation of council member Mark Abram has left a vacancy on the City Council which they hope to fill on March 21st.

On Tuesday, the Council formally accepted Abram’s resignation and determined that interested applicants are to submit a letter of interest and resume by 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 14th to the City Clerk’s Office. Late submissions will not be accepted.  Under Arizona state statute the Council must fill a vacancy by appointment until the next regular election.

To qualify as a valid candidate, applicants must be a United States citizen, the person is eighteen years old, is a qualified elector residing within the city or town and has resided in the city or town for at least one year next preceding the election.
