LET’S KEEP KINGMAN CLEAN AND WEED FREE

The Kingman Clean City Commission (CCC) would like to remind all property owners that in accordance with Section 7-165(d) of the Kingman Municipal Code you are responsible for maintaining the areas in front of your property.  The areas between your property and the street and alley, including the sidewalks, need to be kept free of weeds or grass in excess of six inches in height and all litter.

Please take the time to clean-up and regularly maintain the areas around and within your property.

The CCC also sponsors an Adopt-a-Block program in which volunteer groups are encouraged to regularly clean areas along our streets.  For more information on the Adopt-a-Block program click here

If you have any questions regarding this information, please call the City of Kingman Development Services at (928) 753-8130.

Let’s all work together to make Kingman Clean and Beautiful! Thank you.

JUVENILE ON BIKE INJURED IN HIT & RUN CRASH

Source: KPD

On March 16, at 6:10pm, a 6 year old boy was injured when he drove his bicycle northbound on Kenneth Rd. across Kino Ave. into the path of a white colored SUV type vehicle that was westbound on Kino Ave.  Witnesses observed the young boy crash into the driver’s side of the SUV.  The driver of the SUV, who had the right of way, did not stop and continued westbound on Kino Ave.  The boy suffered a broken left leg.  The cause of the crash was failure to yield by the young boy of the bicycle; however failure to stop at an injury crash is a criminal offense.  The boy was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center for treatment.  The only description of the hit & run vehicle is that it was a white in color SUV style vehicle, last seen heading westbound of Kino Ave. from Kenneth Rd.  Anyone with information on the location and identity of the driver is urged to contact KPD by calling 753-2191, or report anonymously to Mohave Silent Witness by calling 753-1234.  Tips can be made online.
