KART Curb-to-Curb Service

What is Curb-to-Curb?

Curb-to-Curb is a service offered for passengers who have difficulty using the fixed route stop.  We will deviate up to ¾ of a mile to pick-up and drop off as close as possible to the curb or driveway in front of a home or destination. The driver does not assist or escort passengers to the door.

Curb-to-Curb service allows KART customers to be picked up and dropped off at locations other than regular stops, such as your home, doctor’s office, or grocery store.  Curb-to-Curb service is NOT like a taxi….clients are not taken directly to their destination. Curb-to-Curb clients ride the regular route until it is close to their destination; at that time the bus will deviate from the route to the destination.  Reservations for this service must be made in advance.

To become a Curb-to-Curb client you must fill out an application.  Applications can be downloaded from this website, requested from the KART office or from one of our transit operators.  The application must be approved by KART before reservations can be made.  Trips must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.  Space is limited so schedule your trip early!
