ARREST FOR MULTIPLE COUNTS OF FRAUD SCHEME AND RETAIL THEFT

On Friday, December 29th, Kingman Police arrested Bryan Edward Rand, 44 of Las Vegas, NV, on the following multiple felony charges: Organized Retail Theft x6, Fraudulent Use of Sales Receipt x2, Fraud Schemes and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Officers contacted Rand as he was running from security members of a store in the 3300 block of Stockton Hill Rd. The investigation determined that Rand had just exited the store with several hundred dollars of merchandise after presenting a false receipt. Rand is also the suspect in at least 5 other similar incidents between July and October. Rand, who admitted involvement in all offenses, was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.

RESISTING ARREST AND DRUG PARAPHERNALIA

On Tuesday, December 26th, at 5:00 pm, Kingman Police arrested Harley James Vandeman, 19 of Kingman, on felony charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest, in addition to a misdemeanor warrant for Failure to Appear out of Kingman Municipal Court. Officers contacted Vandeman after responding to a disturbance and request for trespass at a motel in the 3000 block of Andy Devine Ave. Vandeman, who initially provided officers with a false name, was found to have a warrant for his arrest. Vandeman was uncooperative and resistant; and also found to be in possession of narcotic drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.

FELONY THEFT AND DRUGS

On Tuesday, December 19th, at 6:45 pm, Kingman Police arrested Donald Andrew Williams, 47 of Kingman, on felony charges of Organized Retail Theft, Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and misdemeanor Criminal Trespass. Williams was identified as the suspect in a fraudulent return of store merchandise at a store in the 3300 block of Stockton Hill Rd. After being confronted by store employees Williams fled on foot. Officers located and apprehended Williams several blocks away, where he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and the associated drug paraphernalia. Williams, who had been previously trespassed from the store and who admitted to making the fraudulent return, was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.

STOLEN VEHICLE, DRUGS, ID THEFT

On Monday, December 18th, at 4:00 am, Kingman Police arrested Tyler S. Leonard, 29 of Kingman, on felony charges of Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Narcotic Drugs and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Jessica Nichole Roberts, 31 of Kingman, on felony charges of Theft, Possession of Narcotic Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Identity Theft. Leonard was the driver and Roberts the passenger of a vehicle stopped in the area of Hualapai Mountain Rd. and Rosslyn Dr. after KPD received reports of suspicious activity. During the incident, the vehicle, a 2000 Dodge Durango, was found to have been reported stolen out of Phoenix. The license plate was stolen from another vehicle. Heroin and drug paraphernalia was found inside the vehicle. Both appeared to be under the influence of drugs. Roberts attempted to identify herself with another person’s identification that had been reported stolen during a burglary in March. Roberts was found to have a felony warrant for her arrest out of Kingman Justice Court on an unrelated matter. Leonard and Roberts were booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility on their charges. The investigation is ongoing regarding the stolen vehicle and stolen identification.

ARRESTS FOR DANGEROUS DRUGS AND WARRANTS

On Sunday, December 10th, at 11:45 pm, Kingman Police arrested Larry Dean Jay, 49 of Kingman, on felony charges of Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a misdemeanor warrant for an unrelated offense. Jay, who was known to have a warrant for his arrest, was contacted in the 3100 block of Airway Ave. Jay was taken into custody on his warrant and found to be in possession of methamphetamine and the associated drug paraphernalia. Jay was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.

ARRESTS FOR DANGEROUS DRUGS AND WARRANTS

On Saturday, December 9th, at 1:05 am, Kingman Police arrested Devina Rose Cook, 27 of Kingman, on felony charges of Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a misdemeanor warrant for an unrelated offense. Cook was contacted in the 3300 block of Stockton Hill Rd., walking behind a closed business. Cook was found to have a warrant for her arrest and was taken into custody, at which time she was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and the associated drug paraphernalia. Cook was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.

ARREST FOR HEROIN

On Saturday, November 4th, at 1:15 am, Kingman Police arrested Cheryl Elaine Carlson, 30 of Kingman, on felony charges of Possession of Narcotic Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and misdemeanor False Reporting to Law Enforcement. Carlson was contacted by police in the area of the I-40 on-ramp at Stockton Hill Rd. During this time Carlson provided a false name to the officers. Carlson was found to be in possession of heroin and the associated drug paraphernalia. Carlson was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.

ARREST FOR VEHICLE BURGLARY AND CREDIT CARD THEFT

On Tuesday, November 28th, at about 2:00 am, Kingman Police arrested Charles Collins Pruitt, 41 of Kingman, on felony charges of Burglary 3rd Degree and Theft of Credit Card, in addition to three unrelated misdemeanor warrants. At about midnight officers investigated unauthorized credit card charges on the victim’s credit card. The investigation revealed that Pruitt, a neighbor, had entered the victim’s car earlier in the evening and removed their credit card. Several charges were made on the credit card within the next hours. Officers located Pruitt at his apartment in the 2000 block of E. Andy Devine Ave. where he was found to have three unrelated warrants for his arrest out of Kingman Municipal Court. During this time officers located the victim’s credit card in Pruitt’s apartment. Pruitt, who denied involvement in the offense, was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.

ARREST FOR HEROIN AND TRESPASS

On Tuesday, November 21st, at 8:25 am, Kingman Police arrested Michael Anthony Engel, 26 of Modesto, CA, on felony charges of Possession of Narcotic Drug, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and misdemeanor Trespass. Officers contacted Engel at a restaurant in the 3400 block of Stockton Hill Rd. where he was asleep at a table. Engel had also previously been trespassed from the restaurant. Engel, who employees suspected of using drugs in the bathroom, was found in possession of heroin and the associated drug paraphernalia. Engel was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.


ARRESTS FOR DANGEROUS DRUGS

On Friday, November 24th, at 4:10 pm, Kingman Police arrested Richard Jan Sinyella, 32 of Peach Springs, and Sharita Marie Querta, 30 of Peach Springs, on felony charges of Possession of Dangerous Drugs and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Officers contacted Sinyella and Querta in a motel room in the 3300 block of E. Andy Devine Ave regarding possible drug activity. It was found that both had misdemeanor warrants on unrelated incidents. During this time they were found to be in possession of methamphetamine and the associated drug paraphernalia. Both were booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.
