CRASH AND ARREST FOR ENDANGERMENT X4

On Saturday, May 6th, at 11:15 am, Kingman Police arrested Walter Lee Palmer Sr., 47 of Kingman, on four (4) felony counts of Endangerment after it was determined that he was responsible for the crash of a vehicle he and four other people were riding in. Officers had responded to a two vehicle crash on Andy Devine Ave. near the I-40 eastbound on-ramp where one vehicle had rolled over. The investigation determined that Palmer was involved in an argument inside the car wherein he is alleged to have grabbed a phone out of the hand of the driver. This caused the vehicle to veer and crash into another vehicle in the next lane, continue onto the eastbound on-ramp where it rolled onto its side. Palmer and the other 4 occupants received minor injuries (ages 72, 23, 21 and 10). The occupants of the second vehicle were not injured. Walter L. Palmer was arrested and subsequently booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.
FEDERAL FUGITIVE ARRESTED

On Monday, Mary 1st, at 6:30 pm, Kingman Police arrested Brandon Francis Adcox, 21 of Kingman, on a Federal felony warrant for Mail Theft and a misdemeanor warrant for Probation Violation issued out of Kingman Justice Court. Adcox was located at a residence in the 4800 block of Steinke Dr. and taken into custody without incident. Adcox was wanted by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service for a string of mail thefts in the Kingman area. Adcox was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility on his warrants and a Fugitive from Justice hold regarding the federal warrant.

A suspect arrested on March 24, who identified himself to authorities as Christopher R. Ciardi, has been identified to actually be Christopher R. Dykeman, 22 of Kingman. On Friday, April 28th, Dykeman was additionally charged with Forgery, Assuming the Identity of Another and two warrants for Failure to Pay Fine that had been issued for his arrest. Dykeman lied about his identity to avoid discovery of the warrants. Authorities became aware of the false information when detention staff discovered his true identity through finger print information.

On Monday, April 24th, at 7:35 pm, Kingman Police arrested Christopher Robert Ciardi, 20 of Kingman, on felony charges Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts) and misdemeanor charges of Flight from Law Enforcement and Criminal Trespass. Ciardi was observed operating a bicycle unlawfully in the 200 block of S. Fourth St. When the officer attempted to contact Ciardi for the violation Ciardi fled on the bicycle. Ciardi, during his flight, abandoned the bicycle and jumped into and through several yards. He was captured on the back porch of a residence in the 400 block of Topeka St., where the homeowner desired prosecution for trespassing. Ciardi was found to be in possession of marijuana and several items of drug paraphernalia associated with marijuana and methamphetamine use. Ciardi was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.

On Monday, April 24th, at 6:30 pm, Kingman Police arrested Ryan Kohl Wright, 18 of Kingman, on felony charges of Possession of Dangerous Drugs and 4 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Kohl was contacted asleep in a vehicle that was parked in the 800 block of Stockton Hill Ave. The Officer woke Kohl and observed assorted drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Kohl was taken into custody and additionally found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Kohl was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.
FELONY ARRESTS FOR VEHICLE BURGLARY AND TRESPASSING

This morning, April 20th Kingman Police arrested Heather Jane Smith, 20 of Kingman, on felony charges of Vehicle Burglary, Trespassing, and three Warrants. Dustin Jerome Harwood, 37 of Kingman, was arrested on a felony charge of Vehicle Burglary. Andrew Dee Patterson, 27 of Kingman, was arrested on felony charges of Vehicle Burglary and Trespassing.
At approximately 5:20 a.m., Kingman Police Officers responded to the 1200 block of Rawhide Dr. for a report of a male subject attempting to enter a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers observed a female in the roadway of the 1400 block of Mountain Trail Rd. who fled on foot as soon as she saw an officer. The officer took chase and took custody of the female, identified as Smith, in the backyard of a residence in the 1400 block of Mountain Trail Rd. at approximately 5:40 a.m. Smith was found to have two felony warrants and one misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear.
A male subject, identified as Harwood, was taken into custody at approximately 5:45 a.m. in the area of Mustang Springs Rd. and Mustang Springs Circle who was attempting to drive around officers to leave the area.
A male subject, identified as Patterson, was located hiding in a shed in the backyard of a residence in the 4000 block of Mustang Spring Circle at approximately 6:00 a.m.
The investigation revealed that two vehicle burglaries occurred in the 1100 block and the 1300 block of Mountain Trail Rd. and an attempted burglary occurred in the 1200 block of Rawhide Dr. Smith denied her involvement. Harwood admitted some involvement. Patterson admitted his involvement. All three were booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.
The investigation remains on-going and additional charges may be pending.
FELONY ARRESTS FOR CHILD ABUSE

On Wednesday, April 19th at approximately 12:10 p.m., the Kingman Police arrested Fabian Braulio Acuna, 18 of Kingman, on felony Misconduct Involving Weapons and Child Abuse. Shaelee Marie Matthews and Jaimie Leigh Nalley, both 25 of Kingman, were arrested on a felony charge of Child Abuse.
These arrests were the result after police were contacted to complete a welfare check on two two-year-old juveniles who were outside of a residence in the 2700 block of Golf Dr. with no adult present. Officers responded to the residence and located one two-year-old in the front yard and one two-year-old walking from the backyard to the front yard.
Once the children were removed and secured to ensure their safety, officers who had located an open sliding glass door, attempted to gain the attention of anyone inside by announcing their presence at the door. An officer observed a male subject, identified as Acuna, exiting the residence through a window while holding a firearm. The officer provided commands to Acuna to drop the gun, which he complied with before he was taken into custody. Acuna was found to be a prohibited possessor and was subsequently booked into the Mohave County adult detention facility.
Two females, identified as Matthews and Nalley, exited the residence and were taken into custody without incident. There were conflicting stories as to the reason the children were unattended, but ultimately the adults fell asleep. Matthews was identified as the mother to one of the two-year-olds and was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility for Child Abuse. Nalley was identified as the mother to the other two-year-old and was also booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility for Child Abuse.
The two children, who were not injured, were released to the custody of the Department of Child Safety.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT & DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

On Saturday, April 15th, at about 9:55 pm, Kingman Police arrested Derek Linden Owens, 32 of Kingman, on felony charges of Aggravated Assault and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Brian Scott McKnight, 34 of Kingman, on a misdemeanor charge of Domestic Violence by Disorderly Conduct. Officers had responded to a residence in the 3700 block of N. Irving St. regarding several 911 reports of shots being fired in the area. Officers determined that several shots were fired during a domestic disturbance between an estranged couple and a current boyfriend. Owens is alleged to have arrived at the Irving St. residence when he became aware that his girlfriend was involved in a disturbance with McKnight, her estranged boyfriend. Upon his arrival, Owens is reported to have brandished and threatened McKnight with a shotgun, at which time McKnight is alleged to have responded by brandishing and firing a handgun at Owens. No one was injured; however, the vehicle Owens was driving sustained several bullet holes. Owens, also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, was determined to be the aggressor and had unlawfully threatened with the shotgun. McKnight was found to have committed domestic violence by disorderly conduct towards his estranged girlfriend before Owens arrived. Both were arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.
ARREST FOR AGGRAVATED DUI X5

On Friday, April 15th, at 7:00 pm, Kingman Police arrested Loren Dean HasThePipe, 39 of Kingman, on felony charges of Aggravated DUI x5, Possession of Narcotic Drugs and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. HasThePipe was the driver of a 2014 silver Doge truck that crashed into a light pole in the 3900 block of Stockton Hull Rd. Officers arrived and determined that HasThePipe was the driver of a truck that entered onto Stockton Hill Rd. from a business parking lot when he crashed into a light pole. In the vehicle at the time of the crash were HasThePipe’s four children; ages 8, 12, 11 and 14; one of the children received minor injuries. It was determined that HasThePipe was under the influence and impaired by narcotic drugs. HasThePipe, who was additionally found to be in possession of heroin and the assorted drug paraphernalia, was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility. The children were given to the care of a family member.

CORRECTION & CLARIFICATION to Previous Media Release
Anthony F. Puglia was incorrectly described as being the roommate of the deceased at the residence on Colorado Ave. Puglia was an acquaintance that arrived at the home and found the male subject lying on the floor, already deceased. Investigators DO NOT believe Puglia was involved in the death of the decedent.
On Wednesday, April 12th, at about 9:00 pm the Kingman Police Department arrested Anthony F. Puglia, 33 of Kingman, on a felony charge of Aggravated Assault of a Fire Fighter. The arrest stems from an incident that occurred when Kingman Fire Department paramedics were sent to a residence in the 2700 block of Colorado Ave. regarding an unresponsive male subject. Paramedics arrived and found a 34-year-old Kingman man deceased in the home. Puglia, a roommate, became aggressive and demanded that paramedics begin treatment. During this time Puglia pushed a firefighter and began breaking items in the home. Officers arrived and ultimately took Puglia into custody for Aggravated Assault of a Fire Fighter. Puglia was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility. The death is suspicious, possibly the result of an overdose.
TRESPASS AND DANGEROUS DRUGS

On Tuesday, April 10th, at 6:00 pm, Kingman Police arrested Nathan W. Goff, 33 of Kingman, on felony charges of Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and a misdemeanor charge of Trespassing. Goff had trespassed on a residential property in the 1100 block of Chadwick Dr. As officers arrived Goff fled on foot. Goff had fled to a hilltop area in the desert area west of the Chadwick Dr. location. Goff refused officers commands and was making threats to jump off of a cliff. Due to the non-severity of the offense, officers left the area. About a half hour later it was reported that Goff was walking down from the hill top towards Andy Devine Ave. Officers located Goff walking in the area of the 1400 block of E. Andy Devine Ave. where he was taken into custody. Goff was displaying signs and behavior of being under the influence of drugs. Goff was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana along with the assorted drug paraphernalia. Goff was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.
