FELONY ARREST FOR AGGRAVATED ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER

On March 8th at approximately 12:00 p.m., Kingman Police arrested Brittney Dawn Perez, 25 of Kingman, in the 3200 block of N. Stockton Hill Rd, on felony charges of Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, Shoplift, Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and misdemeanor Resisting Arrest.

This arrest was the result after police responded to a store in the 3200 block of N. Stockton Hill Rd. for a shoplift in progress.  Officers arrived on scene and contacted the suspect, identified as Perez.  Officers attempted to take her into custody when she began resisting and was combative with officers.  During the struggle, Perez bit one officer in the arm and hit another officer in the face.  An officer deployed his Taser to gain compliance of Perez and was subsequently able to take her into custody.  Officers located the stolen merchandise in Perez’s handbag as well as methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Perez was treated at Kingman Regional Medical Center for minor injuries related to the struggle before she was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility. Perez had two other shoplift arrests within the past four months; therefore, she was booked on a felony shoplift charge. The officers had minor injuries that did not require medical treatment.

FELONY ARREST FOR UNLAWFUL FLIGHT AND WARRANTS

On March 7th at approximately 6:55 p.m., the Kingman Police Department arrested Brandon Ross Odom, 33 of Kingman, in the 2700 block of Pasadena Ave. on felony Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Disorderly Conduct for Reckless Display/Discharge of a Firearm, Unlawful Flight from Law Enforcement, and misdemeanor Failure to Pay Fines Warrant and Driving on a Suspended License.

This arrest stemmed after police obtained information of the whereabouts of a wanted subject, identified as Odom.  An officer located Odom and a passenger traveling north on Monroe St. on a 2008 Titan Scooter and attempted a traffic stop.  Odom did not stop for the officer as he had an outstanding warrant and led police on a short vehicle pursuit with low speeds and light traffic conditions in a residential area before Odom stopped in the 2700 block of Pasadena Ave.

Officers contacted Odom and took him into custody for unlawful flight and driving on a suspended license, and an outstanding warrant.  Odom’s passenger identified as Brittany Michelle Speaks, 25 of Kingman, was found to have a misdemeanor warrant and was taken into custody.  Speaks was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.

Odom was wanted for questioning regarding his involvement in an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon which occurred on February 19th in the 2400 block of Emerson Avenue.  During the incident, the suspect who was positively identified as Odom had pointed a handgun and fired in the direction of a male victim.  No one was injured during the incident.  Odom denied his involvement.  Ultimately, Odom was booked into the Mohave Count Adult Detention Facility.

FELONY ARREST FOR AGGRAVATED ASSAULT ON A HEALTH CARE WORKER

On Saturday, March 4th at approximately 5:25 p.m., Kingman Police arrested Keith Alan Fisher, 34 of Kingman, in the 3200 block of N Stockton Hill Rd. on a felony charge of Aggravated Assault on a Health Care Worker.  This arrest was the result after police were called to the Kingman Regional Medical Center for a disorderly subject in the emergency room who was physically fighting with emergency room staff.  Officers arrived on scene and took the suspect, identified as Fisher, into custody.  The investigation revealed that Fisher punched a doctor in the face and struck him several times in the back of the head and shoulder area.  Another patient in the emergency room and hospital staff assisted the doctor to gain control over Fisher until police arrived on scene.  Fisher was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility once he was medically cleared for release.

FELONY ARREST FOR AGGRAVATED ASSAULT ON A PEACE OFFICER, HEALTH CARE WORKER, AND THREATENING OR INTIMIDATING PHYSICAL INJURY

On Saturday, March 4th at approximately 6 a.m., Aurelio Julian Colmenares-Nery, 18 of Kingman, was arrested in the 3200 block of N. Stockton Hill Rd. on felony charges of Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, Aggravated Assault on a Health Care Worker, and Threatening and Intimidating Physical Injury.  This arrest resulted after police were called to the Kingman Regional Medical Center for an aggravated assault on an emergency room doctor where the suspect, Colmenares-Nery had grabbed a doctor by the throat to choke him and had threatened to kill a nurse and her family.  During the investigation, Colmenarez-Nery attempted to kick an officer, and spit on the officer.  Colmenarez-Nery was taken into custody, and placed in the patrol vehicle for his involvement.  Colmenarez-Nery was combative and kicked the doors and windows of the patrol vehicle, and an officer.  Officers restrained Colmenarez-Nery and he was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility without further incident.

SEVERAL ARRESTED FOR GANG RELATED ACTIVITY

Early Thursday morning, March 2nd, detectives with Mohave GIITEM AZ State Gang Task Force, arrested Fabian Braulio Acuna, 18 of Kingman, on felony charges of Threatening by a Gang Member, Threatening by a Gang Member to Promote a Gang, Assisting a Criminal Street Gang, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Weapons Misconduct; Anthony W. Chavez, 18 of Kingman, on felony charges of Threatening by a Gang Member, Threatening by a Gang Member to Promote a Gang and Assisting a Criminal Street Gang; Kylie Tye McGee, 22 of Kingman, on a felony charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: and Bradley Thomas Nelson Kirchner, 19 of Kingman, on two misdemeanor warrants for Failure to Appear on unrelated offenses.  

WEAPONS MISCONDUCT ARREST

Kevee Conney Williams perp walk  

On Saturday, February 25th, at about 9:45 am, Kingman Police arrested Kevee Conney Williams, 22 of Kingman on felony charges of Weapons Misconduct/Domestic Violence, and Weapons Misconduct; and two misdemeanor warrants for Failure to Appear and Contempt of Court.  At 4:50 am officers responded to a 911 call at residence in the 3600 block of Bond St. regarding a report of a subject firing a gun at another subject.  At 9:45 am a search warrant was served at the home during which time Williams was taken into custody without incident.   Williams, who was intoxicated and denied any knowledge of the incident, was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility on his charges.

FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE ARRESTED

On Tuesday, February 21st, at about 6:00 pm, Kingman Police arrested Michael Bart Brown, 38 of Kingman, on a felony warrant for Probation Violation issued out of Bannock County, Idaho; and a felony warrant for Parole Violation issued out of the Oregon State Department of Corrections.  Brown was arrested at a residence in the 2500 block of Georgia Ave. after a brief standoff with officers.  Brown had barricaded himself in a rear bedroom, however ultimately cooperated with officers and taken into custody.  Brown was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility on a Fugitive from Justice hold; which is common for out of state warrants, while awaiting extradition.

ARREST FOR BURGLARY

On Sunday, February 19th, at about 1:00 am, Kingman Police arrested Thomas Andrew Mitchell, 25 of Golden Valley, on felony charges of Burglary, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Hayley M. Glass, on misdemeanor charges of Theft, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Officers responded to a convenience store in the 200 block of Beale St. regarding the report of a male suspect having stolen money and cigarettes from behind the counter.  The investigation revealed that Mitchell had entered the store, walked behind the counter and access cash from a safe, while the store clerk was in another part of the store.  Mitchell is alleged to have stolen cash and a pack of cigarettes. Mitchell left in an older model red truck that was located and stopped by responding officers.  Mitchell had given the money to passenger Glass, who hid it in the glove box of the truck.  Officers located the stolen money and cigarettes in the truck, along with marijuana and the assorted drug paraphernalia.  Mitchell was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility, while Glass was issued a citation and released.

WANTED SUSPECT ARRESTED ON FRAUD CHARGES

On Wednesday, February 15th, Kingman Police Detectives located and arrested Ashley Dianne Herr, 26 of Kingman, on felony charges of Fraudulent Schemes & Artifices, Theft of a Credit Card and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card.  Herr, who admitted involvement in the offenses, was ultimately booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.  Herr, who is suspected of other similar offenses, was also booked on a felony Probation Violation warrant.  The investigation is ongoing.

ARRESTS MADE TO BURGLARY AT KINGMAN MIDDLE SCHOOL

On Wednesday, February 15th, Kingman Police arrested three Kingman teens, ages 17, 16 and 14, each on a felony charge of Burglary.  Earlier in the day, it was discovered that three suspects had jumped a fence at Kingman Middle School and stole a bicycle and a scooter.  The suspects were later located in a park in the 2200 block of Andy Devine Ave, where they were taken into custody.  The investigation led investigators to a residence in the 1900 block of Airfield Ave, where a search of the home resulted in locating the stolen bicycle and scooter.  The three burglary suspects, who admitted involvement in the crime, were arrested and booked into the Mohave County Juvenile Detention Center.
