Introduction

As you are aware we have upgraded our email sever to the latest version of MS Exchange Server. This means that a new version of OWA (Outlook Web Access) is now being used.

OWA allows you to check you email from any browser both at work and at home. The link to OWA is on our external website under Contact Information. You can also access it directly at the following address:

https://cityofkingman.info/exchange

Please note the S after the http. You must type it exactly or you will get an error. You can also access OWA by typing cityofkingman.info into the address bar of the browser then clicking the Check Email link on that page.

OWA Versions

OWA now comes in two versions Premium and Basic. When using Internet Explorer you can choose either option when logging in. If you are using FireFox, Netscape or Opera then you only get the Basic version. Below are the differences between the two versions.

Premium – This version is most like Outlook 2003. It is laid out in pretty much the same way as Outlook 2003 and has a lot of the same features. Use this version with DSL and Cable connections.

Basic – This version is more like the old OWA. It’s display has been updated to be more colorful but the features remain about the same as the old OWA. Use this version if you have a standard 56K dial-up connection.
