October Storm Cleanup Ongoing
In early October, Kingman experienced a significant storm event causing damage throughout the city, and recent December storms are delaying those fixes. City crews are still making repairs and completing service requests, as nearly 300 requests for service, from minor to major, were received because of the October storm. Nearly all of Kingman’s 230 miles of roadway sustained damage, so city crews are working on repairs as quickly as possible. Crews made initial repairs to hazards, and are now working on detail repair and cleanup, but have had to redo some work due to the recent December rains. Regular repairs and cleanup will be ongoing for the next couple of months, with some larger repairs taking longer. Calls and messages for service have been added to repair lists and will be completed as quickly as possible.
