December Stockton Hill Road Project Update
With the favorable weather experienced had this week, construction crews were able to get everything ready to go with asphalt patching. Crews started patching yesterday and it should be completed today. The current plan is to move the barricades to the next work zone Friday morning. The next work zone will be from the signal at Chili’s to Gordon Drive, with the northbound outside lane restricted in this section. Crews will be maintaining business access to everyone that is adjacent to this restriction and will continue to place signs at each business access to help drivers. Both construction crews will work in this zone through the end of the year. On January 2, 2019, crews will set up the southbound work zone that will be from the signal at Chili’s to Plaza Drive.
Although the crews have been doing a lot of trench patching, the city would like to remind everyone that the entire section of Stockton Hill Road between Airway Avenue and Gordon Dr. will be repaved, which will result in a nice, smooth road. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this project and remind residents to drive carefully through work zones.
The project should be completed by April 2019.
Haydon Building Corp was awarded the contract for this project.
