Mid-May Stockton Hill Road Update
Crews have finished paving and the initial striping work. They will return in 30 days to complete striping work, which includes finished bike lanes, bike lane symbols, etc.
In the interim, crews will be cleaning up landscape areas today and tomorrow. Beginning Wednesday, crews will install concrete collars around all of the water valves and manholes in the roadway. To facilitate work and concrete curing, crews will set up traffic control as follows:
- Wednesday, May 15 – The northbound outside lane of Stockton Hill Road will be restricted during daytime hours.
- Thursday, May 16 – The southbound outside lane of Stockton Hill Road will be restricted during daytime hours.
- Friday, May 17 – The intersections of Airway Avenue, Kino Avenue and Gordon Drive will be restricted during daytime hours. On this day, once the collars are poured and cured for a couple of hours, we will place plates over the top of them and remove traffic control.
The City appreciates everyone’s patience during this lengthy, but important project. We look forward to discussing this completed project and upcoming projects at the City Expo May 30, from 4-7 p.m. at Locomotive Park.
