Big Industrial acquires 40-acre site in industrial park
KINGMAN – Big Industrial, LLC, a national industrial real estate investment firm, is providing new opportunities at the Kingman Industrial Park in a move that Economic Development Manager Bennett Bratley says will help marketing efforts and more.
Big Industrial announced in a press release Tuesday, July 10 that it has acquired the 620,000-square-foot Knauf Insulation Facility, 4200 North Industrial Blvd., at the park. That space will now become the Kingman Logistical Center. It plans to lease the “contemporary industrial space” to distribution and manufacturing companies.
Big Industrial notes in the release that the facility is on a 40-acre site served by rail and that it houses utilities and amenities that can accommodate most industrial users.
“It’s going to give the industrial park the needed square footage in regards to marketing to businesses looking to potentially locate here, or even our existing businesses that are in need of more space for storage and distribution,” Bratley said.
Big Industrial will also start to upgrade the facility with additional docks, trailer parker and site improvements in addition to expanding the facility as needed.
“We have been invested in the Kingman area for nearly 20 years so when this property became available it made strategic sense to acquire, upgrade and offer it to the manufacturing/warehousing community for regional projects considering an alternative southern California option in Arizona,” wrote Dan Smith of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors in the release. “It is our desire to assist in the generation of new employment and new capital investment opportunities within the industrial park.”
