Battalion Chief Rink Gordon

Rink Gordon is a 26 year veteran of the fire service. Rink started his tenure in the fire service as a Fire Explorer with the Hualapai Valley Fire Department (HVFD) eventually becoming a Volunteer Firefighter with HVFD and Kingman Fire Department. Rink moved up through the ranks of HVFD then transitioned to a full-time firefighter with Kingman Fire Department again working his way through the ranks and is now serving as Battalion Chief of EMS.

Rink holds many certifications like Paramedic, Technical Rescue Technician. He holds an Associate Degree in Fire Science and is in his second year of the National Fire Academy’s Managing Fire Officer Program and Leadership Series. He has completed the Arizona State Fire Marshal’s Office Leadership Series. He has completed the Arizona Department of Emergency Management’s Professional Development Series. Rink has received the Governor’s Life Safety Award, Fire Chief’s Award and the William Johnston Award.

Rink is in the fire service as he enjoys being compassionate to people, the community and enhancing the quality of life. He is always willing to learn and accept change. He enjoys outdoor activities like camping, boating, fishing, and hunting, but, mostly big game hunting.
