Chief Jake RhoadesJake Rhoades, MS, EFO, CTO, CMO, FIFirE is a 26 year veteran of the fire service and serves as the Fire Chief for the city of Kingman (AZ) Fire Department which is an ISO Class 1 internationally accredited agency representing populations of 25,000 to 99,999.  Chief Rhoades is an appointed Commission on Fire Accreditation International commissioner representing Fire Agencies Serving Populations of 25,000 – 99,999.  He holds a Master’s of Science degree in Executive Fire Service Leadership and is pursuing his Doctorate in Business Management.  He is also pursuing his Certified Public Manager designation through Arizona State University.  He has served elected member of the IAFC Safety, Health and Survival Board of Directors where he served as the treasurer and received the Chairman Performance award in 2014.  In addition, he has served on numerous NFPA technical committees including NFPA 1001: Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications, NFPA 1250 Recommended Practice in Fire and Emergency Service Organization Risk Management and was the IAFC representative on NFPA 1971: Standard on Protective Ensembles for Structural Fire Fighting and Proximity Fire Fighting.  Jake is the Curriculum Lead Faculty for Columbia Southern University’s Fire Science and Administration program and serves as a training consultant for WHP Training Towers.  He has achieved Fellow grade with the institution of Fire Engineers.  He has been designated Professional Instructor from the International Society of Fire Service Instructors and is a certified Phi Theta Kappa Leadership Facilitator.  Chief Rhoades is an active peer assessor for the Center for Public Safety Excellence and also a peer reviewer for Chief Fire Officer Credentialing, Chief Medical Officer Credentialing, Chief Training Officer Credentialing, and agency accreditation through the Commission on Fire Accreditation International.  Chief Rhoades is a published author and speaks nationally on topics of relevance to the fire service for a variety of publication as well as conferences and engagements throughout the country including Fire Rescue International, Firehouse World, and the CPSE Excellence Conference.
