The City of Kingman provides water, sewer and sanitation services to customers in our service areas.


Residential Deposits

A refundable utility deposit in the amount of $100.00 is required for new customers to start service. The refundable deposit is non-interest bearing and will be applied to your account after 12 months of good credit history or be applied against the final utility bill, whichever comes first.

Other Deposits

All persons requesting service other than single-family residential will be required to pay a deposit in the amount of 2 1/2 times the highest estimated monthly bill. The refundable deposit is non-interest bearing and will be applied to the account after 12 months of good credit history or be applied against the final utility bill, whichever comes first. 

Good Credit Waives the Deposit

We will not require a deposit if you can supply a letter of credit from another utility company that meets our good credit criteria. The criteria being that the letter shows the past year's credit history with no more than 4 delinquencies, no disconnects, and no returned checks. You can have a letter of credit faxed to us at (928) 718-2576 or e-mailed to If your letter meets our criteria, we will be able to complete your request for new service.



Turning On Service

A service charge in the amount of $10.50 + tax for locations inside the City limits or $15.50 + tax for locations outside the City limits is assessed when you initiate service.

Same Day Service

Under normal conditions, we will be able to process your request for new service, service transfers, and service terminations the same day as long as we receive your request before 3:00 p.m.



You will receive a monthly bill from us which will include charges for water, sewer and sanitation services or any combination of these services. 

Payment Terms

Your bill will be due 20 days after the billing date. Make your check or money order payable to the City of Kingman. Payments must be received in our office on the due date shown on your bill. Your account becomes delinquent the day after the due date unless prior payment arrangements have been made with our customer service staff. The due date on your bill applies to current charges only. Any balance forward shown on your bill is subject to the delinquency process.
