Pursuant to the Responsible Sales and Use Tax Act (Proposition 413) approved by the City of Kingman voters on November 6, 2018, the City of Kingman’s Model City Tax Code will be amended to reflect a 1% decrease in the transaction privilege and use tax rate among most categories effective January 1, 2019.     Between Friday night and Monday night, the Western AZ DUI Task Force made 987 traffic stops that resulted in 26 DUI arrests that had average blood alcohol content (BAC) of .147%.

    During the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 23rd, Kingman Police began an investigation into the aggravated assault of Steven Paul Madrid, 27 of Kingman, after he was found on the ground, unresponsive outside the apartment of his girlfriend in the 1000 block of Beverly Ave.

    On Tuesday, May 15th the Kingman Police and Fire Departments responded to the 5400 block of N. Stockton Hill Rd. in response to a report of a serious injury head-on crash; one patient was flown to University Medical Center (UMC) in Las Vegas with serious injuries.
