All position are defined as safety sensitive. Applicants are required to undergo drug/alcohol testing at employment; and subsequent to commencement of employment will be subject to random, post accident, reasonable suspicion, return to duty, and follow-up testing.

Testing Process

Applicants who are determined qualified after review of submitted applications will be invited to participate in testing. Testing for Police Officer consists of four distinct phase; written exam, physical agility (POPAT), assessment center and oral board. Applicants must successfully complete each phase to move on to the next phase of testing. Testing usually occur over a period of one to two days, depending on the amount of applicants. Applicants are advised to schedule two days for these phases of testing.

  • Applicants will need to meet minimum physical standards of the physical agility test as defined in the Peace Officer Physical
