Fleet and Building Maintenance Superintendent
The mission of the Public Works Fleet Maintenance Department is to provide a productive fleet maintenance program at the lowest possible cost to all City departments.
- To develop methods for achieving reduced material and downtime costs.
- To create a productive work environment for employees and to provide excellent customer service to all City departments and the City of Kingman.
The Fleet Maintenance Department , which consists of four full time mechanics, a welder, an administrative assistant, and a superintendent, is responsible for the maintenance of most of the City’s vehicles and equipment, (the Parks Department maintains their own vehicles) which total 373.
The department, which is located at the City of Kingman Public Works Maintenance Facility, 3700 East Andy Devine Avenue, has seven mechanic bays, a welding shop, a steam bay, a service desk area, and a business office.
The Fleet Maintenance employees strive to keep the City’s vehicles safe to operate and in good working order by initiating regularly scheduled preventive maintenance, utilizing “RTA” fleet maintenance software to record labor, materials, and fuel costs.
The mission statement of the Public Works Building Maintenance Department is to establish and maintain a productive building maintenance program at the lowest overall cost to the City. The Building Maintenance Department is responsible for maintaining 19 City buildings and assisting with others on an as-needed basis.

- To provide cleanliness and repairs on a timely basis.
- To provide excellent customer service to all City divisions.
The Building Maintenance Department consists of 4 full-time and 1 building technician. The department is responsible for maintaining all City buildings, with the exception of the park department buildings. The Building Maintenance employees strive to keep the City buildings clean and in good repair by following a daily cleaning schedule and by responding to repair and remodeling requests in a timely manner. The Building Maintenance Department is also responsible for the prompt removal of all graffiti from within the City.
